01
Common driving risks
Many everyday hazards come from habits rather than rare events. Knowing them helps you plan ahead.
- Taking your eyes off the road for a phone, screen, or passenger
- Driving faster than conditions allow, even when under the limit
- Following too closely in dense or fast traffic
- Driving while tired, rushed, or emotionally distracted
02
Distracted driving prevention
Set up navigation, music, and climate controls before moving. Place your phone out of reach or use a do not disturb mode while driving.
03
Speed management
Posted limits describe ideal conditions. Rain, glare, construction, and heavy traffic all call for lower speeds and more space.
04
Driver alertness
Yawning, drifting between lanes, and missing exits are signs of fatigue. On longer trips plan a break roughly every two hours and share driving when possible.
